Honestly i don't know where this REGRETSY thing is taking me and my shop....
(REGRETSY.com is a website where the worst & weirdest ETSY-items are posted and critiqued in a hard and honest but sometimes ridiculous way)
I've been going through the Etsy-forum to find out what is really being said about it and guess what???
talking about regretsy is NOT DONE on the Etsy Forums!
As I said before I think it's good to have a place where people can express their frustration. It makes them feel better than all the others.
and in the end, that's actually really sad.
but the good thing about it is that the shop that is featured gets a very honest opinion about a particular item and if you're smart get out of it whatever is usefull to you and your shop!
(after reading 40 something comments i stopped, i had enough for a while)
and you will get lots and lots of views and probably sales from it!!
but from those 40 comments i remembered the important things and the things that could be changed and i forgot about all the painful & useless information.
then i went back to my own comments in my shop that i get from sales and guess what? they are just amazing! I checked my sales again and they've never been better! no, i wasn't dreaming.
This whole thing makes me nervous because I don't know where it's going!
and sometimes i'm scared that it will harm my shop and i won't be able to turn back time. But than again i have my own opinion on things and i'm here to defend it!
and things are going great with my shop both ONLINE and OFFLINE, so why worry?
Anyways, for the next part i really need YOUR OPINION!
so please post ALL your thoughts and comments!
After my first
BLOGPOST on Regretsy the adorable lady that put my adorable item ;) on regretsy contacted me and told me she thought it was great i reacted in a positive way.
I really find this funny but very friendly of my dear regretsy-friend.
and i actually thanked her because by now i've gotten over 1000 views from regretsy and my sales went up like crazy!
so, now she mailed me again about the book!
the famous REGRETSY-BOOK!

She told me my item was one of the most popular items ever on REGRETSY and she wanted me to be in the book.
now, i have to think about that!
because, i know that bad publicity isn't always that bad...
and she is actually offering me free advertising and other promotional opportunities.... starts to sound good, doesn't it?
i was thinking about opening a forum thread on etsy about this topic, but that's not allowed, so i thought we could have this conversation here so nobody will delete a thing and everybody will be free to express whatever their opinion is. So please people be nice to each other ;)
so tell me, how good do you think bad publicity can be? what is your general opinion on regretsy? i've heard that lots of people would love to be featured on regretsy because of the views and the sales, do you?
and than, for the buyers among you, would you buy something from a seller that has been featured on regretsy? do you care? does it bother you? or isn't it really that important?
anyway, share whatever you want to share with us about regretsy!
